Yinchuan Institute of Energy, located in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is a private undergraduate college focusing on engineering jointly established by the Education Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Yinchuan Municipal Government.
It is also a governing unit of the National Universities of Applied Sciences League, a pilot institution for the overall transformation of local undergraduate universities in Ningxia, a university jointly established by Fujian and Ningxia, an ICT production-education integration innovation base of the Ministry of Education and ZTE, and a "Hundred Schools Project" in China.
Yinchuan Institute of Energy, formerly known as Yinchuan University, was founded in 1999. In 2004, the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region officially approved the establishment of the school; 20 12 The Ministry of Education approved the upgrading to an ordinary undergraduate college; 20 16 awarded bachelor's degree.
