Extended data:

The role of teachers is realized through educational practice. In educational practice, teachers establish certain relationships and play their role functions through interaction with other roles, mainly students. This is the role and position of teachers in educational activities. Educational activities mainly occur between teachers and students, so the role of teachers is mainly determined by the relationship between teachers and students.

In educational activities, the role relationship between teachers and students is the relationship between who is the subject and who is the object.

In this regard, there are roughly three views.

First, teachers are the subject and students are the object. This view means that teachers are in an absolute dominant position in educational activities and students are in an absolute dominant position. This view is called "teacher-centered theory".

Second, students are the main body, and teachers are completely subordinate to the requirements of students. This view means that teachers are in an absolute dominant position in educational activities. This view is "student-centered".

Third, teachers and students are subjects and objects.

In educational activities, teachers, as the educational purpose of a certain society, undertake certain educational tasks, make use of certain educational resources and carry out educational practice activities for students on the basis of their own knowledge and skills. There is no doubt that teachers are the main body of educational practice.

In educational activities, students are the objects of educational activities, but as people with certain cognitive and practical abilities, they are also active subjects. In view of the fact that educational activities are carried out with teachers as the main body, students also actively understand and practice in such activities. Students also regard all the educational resources used by teachers and teachers in educational activities as the object of understanding and practice.

In view of the relationship between teachers and students, in modern educational thoughts, it is generally believed that teachers play a leading role in educational activities and students play a main role in learning activities.

The role of teachers is not only to impart some textbook knowledge to students, but also to adopt specific teaching methods in a specific environment and promote students' growth through specific channels according to their development reality and educational goals and requirements. The role of a teacher is a complicated professional role. It takes a complicated and long-term learning process for a person to grow into this role.

The essence of teacher's role lies in helping students grow up; In other words, a teacher is a person who promotes the growth of students.
