China's national traditional music culture is the crystallization of people's musical talents, a valuable cultural wealth that embodies the national spirit, a reference system for creating and developing China's future music, and a valuable teaching material for patriotism education for young people. Strengthening the education of national music is an important topic in the current educational reform of colleges and universities in China.
Keywords: university music; Teaching; National music education
Our national traditional music is a treasure of human culture. For a long time, our music education has been dominated by the western music system, leading to the lack of national music education, which has become a concern in the music education field today. As a music educator in colleges and universities, combined with many years of teaching experience, I think strengthening national music education and promoting national music culture is the way to solve this problem. Let me tell you what I think about this.
First, the necessity of strengthening national music education
1. Strengthening national music education is the need to inherit and carry forward national music culture.
The so-called inheritance means respecting and spreading historical and cultural traditions. National music is the carrier and mirror image of a nation's history, culture, style and emotion. He embodies the spirit and character of a nation. China is a multi-ethnic country, and each ethnic group has its own unique national music. Together, they constitute a rich and colorful music culture in China. Without understanding these national music, it is difficult to truly understand the rich and splendid culture and civilization of the motherland, let alone its inheritance and development. In recent years, even some college students majoring in music have shown a strange attitude towards China's rich knowledge of national music. They are used to disco rhythm, electro-acoustic tapes and pop music, but they are resistant to beautiful folk songs and melodious opera singing. There are few candidates who sing folk songs and play folk music in the annual senior high school entrance examination. Obsessed with the melody of disco, jazz, rock and other foreign music. If this phenomenon is left unchecked, it may not only lead to the lack of successors of China national music, but also lead to the further rupture of national music culture. As the main position of music education and research, music majors in colleges and universities should inherit and carry forward the music culture of the motherland.
2. Strengthening national music education is the need of China music development and innovation in the 2nd/kloc-0th century.
Under the multicultural background, strengthening national music education can enhance students' accumulation and reserve of national music, enrich students' national cultural history and emotions, enable students to understand the style characteristics of national music in comparison with other heterogeneous music cultures in the world, and cultivate a cross-cultural open and multi-dimensional musical vision. Widely absorb the music of all ethnic groups, based on the mother tongue music, integrate Chinese and western music, and create new music works. Therefore, strengthening national music education in the teaching of music majors is conducive to developing students' creative thinking, cultivating innovative ability and further promoting the further development of contemporary music.
3. Strengthening national music education is an important way to cultivate and improve the humanistic quality of music majors.
Humanistic accomplishment is the basic quality and accomplishment that a person should have. It has long been recognized that the ultimate goal of higher education is to cultivate all-round high-quality talents. Music majors in colleges and universities are not only skilled talents, but also cultivate all-round high-quality music talents. Because music education is not only a kind of knowledge education and skill education, but also an aesthetic education, cultural education and humanistic education. National music condenses the history, culture, style and emotion of a country and a nation, and contains rich humanistic spirit. March of the Volunteers, The Yellow River Cantata and On Taihang Mountain, written by China during War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, fully demonstrated the national spirit of China people in fighting bloody battles, resisting foreign aggression and being indomitable. The study of Long March Songs, Butterfly Lovers and other works can strengthen students' understanding of national history and culture, stimulate students' feelings of loving the music art of the motherland, enhance students' national pride, and contribute to the development of national music, which is of great significance to improving students' self-personality and cultivating students' aesthetics.
Second, ways to strengthen national music education
1. National music education should be strengthened conceptually. It should be systematic and scientific in syllabus, teaching materials and teaching. As a whole, the teaching materials and syllabus can reflect the management level and teaching quality of a school. China is a multi-ethnic country, and all ethnic groups have their own extremely rich music. The essence and style of these excellent traditional music should be compiled into teaching materials and taught to students. And take the study of national music works as an important goal of teaching and arrange enough class hours. Only by highlighting the teaching materials with national characteristics can the teaching in colleges and universities in China be more national, valuable, tenable and recognizable. Of course, excellent music from all over the world is not excluded here, and at the same time we should further enrich ourselves by absorbing the essence of foreign national music.
2. In the specific teaching, the teaching of national music should be reflected in various disciplines, such as in vocal music teaching, students should sing more folk songs and browse a large number of excellent national operas in China; In dance teaching, students should learn more folk dances or try to choreograph folk songs and dances. In harmony class, try to analyze some national modes; In solfeggio teaching, let students sing more folk songs or music with national tone; In the national folk music class, let students browse and sing folk songs and opera music extensively; In the elective course of instrumental music, students should choose more national instrumental music, establish national bands and offer folk music ensemble courses. Emotionally deepen students' understanding and interest in folk music.
3. Teaching Methods Teachers should not only help students to understand the national characteristics of China traditional music technically through the cultivation of singing and playing skills, but also guide students to deeply understand national music and appreciate the spiritual and cultural connotation contained in it through the analysis of the inner feelings and music structure of the background of the works. From the outside to the inside, students' self-awareness and sense of responsibility of loving national music, respecting and inheriting music culture are cultivated imperceptibly.
Three. Concluding remarks
As music educators, we should aim at guiding young students to maintain the uniqueness of our country and national culture through music education, so as to better shoulder the heavy responsibility of inheriting and developing our national culture. We should continue to strengthen exploration and research, formulate practical measures, make the national music education in colleges and universities to a new level, and further carry forward the long and splendid national music culture in China.
