Tibet University for Nationalities is located in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, a key construction university in the central and western regions of the country, a national education base for national unity and progress, a pilot unit of the excellent talent training program of the Ministry of Education, and a team-based counterpart aid-building university by the Ministry of Education.
