Over the years, with the care and support of school leaders and departments at all levels, the master's degree program of Foreign Languages Institute has become the most important foreign language teaching and research base in Guizhou Province in terms of specialty setting, teacher construction and teaching equipment. The Master of English Language and Literature has formed five fruitful research directions: British and American modern and contemporary literature research, translation research and cultural research, British classical poetry research, British and American contemporary poetry research and comparative literature research (including the relationship between Chinese and foreign literature).
The Master of Japanese Language and Literature has formed two directions: Japanese linguistics and Japanese education, and comparative study of Chinese and Japanese literature and culture.
Third, advanced teaching equipment and rich books and materials.
The college has an independent office and teaching building, advanced and complete teaching and research equipment, and a language lab, reference room, network digital language lab, analog language lab, simultaneous interpretation room, computer room and multimedia classroom with more than 3,500 square meters and more than 4,000 seats. The college also has an independent foreign language library, covering an area of more than 400 square meters, with more than 30,000 foreign language books, 87 Chinese and foreign periodicals and more than 300 audio-visual materials.

Japanese Language and Literature Major:
After three years of study, students can analyze and inspect the development and present situation of Japanese linguistics, grasp the latest academic trends and research frontiers, closely combine theoretical discussion with practice, and establish original, empirical and systematic research in the field of linguistics. At the same time, starting from the theory of foreign language education, through theoretical research and empirical research, students can understand and master new educational concepts and teaching methods, explore new teaching methods that adapt to their own development, constantly optimize language teaching models, and effectively promote the steady development of Japanese education. Master of translation:
MTI (Master of Translation and Interpretation) is a professional master's degree established in China in 2007, which is equivalent to MBA in the field of translation, following "Art", "Physical Education" and MBA. Different from traditional degrees, MTI aims to cultivate high-level, applied and professional interpreters and translators who meet the needs of national economic, cultural and social construction. Through three years of full-time study, students should not only receive comprehensive and rigorous training in interpretation and translation theory and skills, but also carry out a lot of translation practice. The English name of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language (MTCSOL) refers to the teaching of Chinese to overseas non-native speakers. The goal of the master's degree in Chinese international education is to cultivate advanced applied and compound professionals who are qualified for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Master of Chinese International Education is a professional degree that is linked with the profession of international Chinese teachers. It mainly trains advanced, applied, compound and internationalized professionals who are proficient in teaching Chinese as a second language, have good cultural communication skills and cross-cultural communication skills, adapt to the international promotion of Chinese, and can be competent for various teaching tasks.
