Wu Cheng'en (about 1500- 1583, and 1506- 1580), whose real name is Ruzhong, was born in Sheyang Mountain, a writer in Ming Dynasty, and was born in He Xia, Shanyang County, Huai 'an Province (now Huai 'an District, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province). Modern scholars generally believe that Wu Cheng'en is the last person to complete China's classic The Journey to the West.
