What's the difference between English up and upon?
Both on and on can be used in general, but there are the following differences: (1) means that on is generally used only on a certain day or a certain date, not on it; (2) In some conventional expressions, upon and on cannot be substituted for each other, such as once once, on account;; (3) After the infinitive of a sentence or clause, on is often used instead of on, for example, a duty to defense.
