At present, the development direction of vocational education is employment-oriented vocational education. "Employment-oriented vocational education" is an educational and teaching activity with direct employment as the main goal, and it is a guide to the main ideas of vocational education, so in a sense, vocational education can also be said to be "employment education". In order to further understand the current situation of students, I conducted a questionnaire survey on 780 freshmen. Among them, 75% of the students majoring in pharmacy and 83% of the students majoring in basic clinical medicine gave feedback that they were "not sure what position they would take in the future", and 90% of the students gave feedback that they didn't understand why they had to take some non-professional courses. This shows that students don't know the professional characteristics of their major, what kind of professional talents the school will train, and have limited understanding of the characteristics of their major. In view of the above situation, we should proceed from the quality of students and the reality of vocational schools, conform to the development of the times, and carry out "employment-oriented vocational education" for students with the aim of smooth employment. How to carry out "employment-oriented vocational education" among secondary vocational school students is discussed from two aspects: the work of the class teacher and the work of the student management department.
