Yao Gan Town has a long history, profound cultural heritage and brilliant Wadang culture, and is known as the "hometown of thousands of kilns" in history. As early as the Tang dynasty, it was engaged in the production of brick and tile industry, and the kiln industry flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. According to legend, Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and mistakenly called "Thousand Kilns" as dry kilns when passing by, hence the name, which is the birthplace of brick and tile industry in Jiashan and even in the south of the Yangtze River.
