In the image schema of "object image-background" in cognitive linguistics, the object with undetermined position is called object image, and the object used as position reference is called background. Together with the viewpoint that affects the visual angle, it constitutes the factor that affects the spatial position of the object. Spatial orientation is the most direct way of human experience. Due to different customs and ways of thinking, different ethnic groups have similarities and differences in their cognitive models of spatial orientation, which will inevitably be reflected in their respective languages. Chinese spatial orientation words refer to a kind of words specially used to express the spatial orientation and position of objects in Chinese. In natural language, describing the position of an object with locative words cannot be simply determined by the grammatical symbols of the words themselves, but the semantics of spatial locative words depend on the context. Domestic studies mostly analyze the similarities and differences between Chinese and English positioning cognition from the perspective of culture and cognition, but pay little attention to its influence and function in the process of Chinese international education.
