The "3+ 1" program refers to studying full-time in China for three years, studying abroad for one year, and obtaining a bachelor's degree from a foreign university. In order to introduce foreign high-quality educational resources, cultivate skilled talents urgently needed in China and promote educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Britain, the Ministry of Education CSCSE and SQA jointly introduced HND 3+ 1 project to China.
This project provides high school graduates and those with equivalent education (including secondary vocational graduates) with educational opportunities to receive international high-quality courses at home, and saves expensive study abroad expenses for students and parents.
The academic planning of the course is: the first year is an international study project to strengthen English; In the second and third years, I will study project-specific courses. After three years' study, the graduates will have proficient English application skills, and master some international frontier professional theoretical knowledge of related majors.
HND 3+ 1 project has a high-quality curriculum system, advanced teaching concepts and curriculum characteristics of combining academics and majors, which has been recognized by many universities around the world. At present, nearly 30 colleges and universities in China offer 15 professional courses in five categories, including business, computer, tourism hotel management, logistics and engineering. More than 2000 people graduated from the third session/KLOC-0, and more than 23,000 people graduated from the eighth session.
Graduates who have obtained HND certificates and meet the requirements of foreign universities enter more than 100 universities in Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Netherlands and other countries for further study. Some outstanding project students go to Oxford University, Warwick University and other world-renowned universities to study for master's degrees after continuing their studies.
