How to treat the establishment of e-sports specialty in the Ministry of Education
As soon as the news that "the Ministry of Education has set up e-sports major" came out, several people invited me to answer similar questions, so I intend to write down my thoughts on middle school students here.

This text includes what attitude the game should be and whether the so-called e-sports major is suitable for you. I hope it can help your life development.

Note that I am not engaged in games, education or news, and it has nothing to do with these. At the same time, my views and opinions are amateur, and there may be mistakes and omissions. Don't listen to them.

Why play games?

Games are just entertainment.

Others can make money by playing games. Just because you play this game doesn't mean you can also play this game to make money.

A game can become an e-sports project. Just because you play this game doesn't mean you are engaged in e-sports.

Play is play, there is no need to talk about sports or games.

Although there have been a variety of professional players who make money by playing games since Thresh, there are only a handful of people who have the luck and ability to make money by playing games-whether they win the game to get bonuses, join a team to earn wages, or make video advertisements, broadcast live and sell snacks, after all, there are very few people who can succeed.

If you play games at an average level, with no chest, legs or broken mouth, I suggest you take an ordinary road and hurt yourself less.

Why do you want to go to college?

Your parents and teachers may never make it clear to you. To put it simply, going to college has three main advantages.

(1) Learn knowledge and skills.

2. Expand personal relationships.

(3) make yourself in a more favorable position in the future survival and development (such as work).

From the utilitarian point of view, ① and ② both serve ③. The more things you know and the more people you know, it will be easier for you to find a job or start a business. Without skills and background, naturally, people are wronged everywhere. Life is like this.

Of course, you can learn knowledge and skills from other places, meet people and try to live without going to college. However, for most China people who can understand this article, going to college is the easiest and most cost-effective development route.

What's the easy way? Let's talk about it right away.

How can I go to college?

As we all know, it is the college entrance examination. You can take the exam if your test scores reach a certain standard.

What standard?

To put it simply, in 20 16, about 9.4 million people signed up for the college entrance examination, and about 7 million people were admitted. The admission rate varies from province to province, but it is basically above 70%.

How simple is this achievement? Converted into your League of Legends, it is probably more than 5% silver-however, if you want to play professionally, you need at least the power of 1, less than 0. 1%. Think about it, there are100000 players in China, and professional players have10000?

For most people, learning is obviously much easier. So, don't be afraid to study, set reasonable goals, and steadily improve your grades bit by bit, as long as you don't do the last 30%. Now that your game level is a little higher than your learning level, it doesn't necessarily mean that you won't learn. Maybe you just spend more energy on exercise games.

You don't need to quit the game completely. As long as you set aside a little time and study hard in the right way, your growth will be scared.

Is it really that simple?

Yes, no, it goes without saying that you need to continue to work hard when you go to college. The so-called "going to college" is also divided into three grades. 70% of the above candidates can go to college, which means the bottom line for receiving higher education.

First of all, education is divided into "undergraduate" and "junior college" (commonly known as junior college). The undergraduate course is usually 4-5 years, and graduated with a "bachelor's degree". College for 2~3 years, no degree. The gap between the two is still quite large. Many jobs require a bachelor's degree, and graduate students must have a bachelor's degree first. If you just graduated from junior college and want to pass this threshold, you must pass the college entrance examination.

The number of undergraduate students enrolled in 20 16 is about 3.74 million. Only about half of the people admitted to the university are undergraduates. So, if your goal is undergraduate, you need to work harder. Different provinces and cities have different undergraduate admission rates. Generally speaking, you should reach the top 35%~40% in high school, which is much easier than playing games as a career.

Then even for undergraduates, schools are graded, such as 985,211,one book and two books ... Taking Shandong Province as an example, the difficulty for high school students to enter schools of all grades can be compared as follows:

King: Tsinghua Peking University.

Master: Zhejiang University, Fudan University and other famous schools.

Diamond 5: 985 (maximum 2%)

Platinum 4: 2 1 1 (top 5%)

Gold 1: one copy (original 13%)

Silver 1: undergraduate (top 39%)

Bronze 1: junior college (top 80%)

Shandong has always been famous for its fierce competition in the college entrance examination, which can be regarded as a telecom 1 zone in the country, and the actual gold content of the segment is also higher. Other provinces and cities are simpler.

What is the e-sports major mentioned in the news?

According to the 20 16 catalogue of higher vocational education (specialty) in ordinary colleges and universities, a new specialty named "e-sports and management" is added, which belongs to the specialty and physical education specialty.

If you are a player in the undergraduate division (top 35%~40%), this thing means nothing to you.

If your grades are not very good, please think about it before you get excited about it.

Remember what I said before about the three benefits of going to college?

-learning knowledge. Know people. Looking for a job.

As long as you are not stupid, you should be able to think of three basic questions:

-Learn what? Who will teach? What will you do after graduation?

Unfortunately, there are no clear answers to these three questions about this new major from 2065438 to September 2006. You can only imagine from the name, it seems to be something related to the e-sports industry. As for how many colleges and universities will offer this major, how many students will be enrolled, what is the admission threshold, what is the teaching content, what background teachers can be invited, and how the employment direction and prospects are ... it is completely vague.

For example, it is hard to imagine that colleges and universities will hire a champion of Warcraft, such as teaching students how to play Warcraft, and then students will learn it, so that they can make a living by playing Warcraft after graduation. I'm not targeting Warcraft, any project is the same. If it is really such a training institution, then the current team already has this function-and the key is that you must have certain strength to join the team.

The development and changes of e-sports events are very rapid. Games that are popular when you enter school may not be followed up after graduation two or three years later. Moreover, for some very hard-working and quick-acting projects, the golden age of the players is relatively young, and they almost retired after graduating from college (about 20 years old).

Another possibility is to provide a mainstream development direction for young professional players, such as team management. However, in this era of national live training to make money, how valuable is this degree to the players themselves? Draw a question mark here.

What is certain is that third-rate schools can improve their popularity and attract candidates by engaging in this major.

Before you enter the exam, you must inquire about the situation first. Don't be excited by the headlines such as "the spring of e-sports", "I can get an education by playing games" and "Mom is no longer worried that I will delay my study because of playing games".

Calm down and think about what you should do.

Is the spring of e-sports industry coming?

Hmm (expressing hesitation, etc.) ... From my layman's point of view, this action of the Ministry of Education only indicates the wind direction slightly, not the wind direction itself. The real gale has been blowing since President Wang entered the business.

"Thank you"
