Guangdong Southern Vocational College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Formerly known as "Guangdong Jiangmen Yihua Tourism Vocational College", it was renamed as "Guangdong Southern Vocational College" on 20 12. The school earnestly implements the fundamental task of educating people with moral education, puts the quality of personnel training in the first place in school work, continuously deepens the reform of education and teaching, comprehensively improves the strength of running schools and the quality of personnel training, and explores and creates a road to the development of diversified education with innovative spirit.
Founded in 2009, the college was renamed as "Guangdong Southern Vocational College" on October/February, passed the talent training evaluation of higher vocational colleges organized by Guangdong Provincial Department of Education on October/July, and won the award of "Outstanding Contribution College of Guangdong Private Education in 40th Anniversary" in 2020, and Chairman Dai Chuxian won the award of "Outstanding Contribution Person of Guangdong Private Education in 40th Anniversary". In 2020, it was recognized as a provincial university science park by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education.
At present, the school has three secondary colleges, including Intelligent Manufacturing College, Artificial Intelligence College, Architecture and Engineering College, Information College, Management College, Finance and Economics College, Medical College, Transportation College, Marxism College, Continuing Education College, Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, Huawei Cloud College and International Education College, and has opened 49 enrollment majors.
The school actively introduces scientific research institutions, scientific and technological innovation enterprises and postdoctoral scientific and technological innovation teams, aims at Industry-University-Research incubation, and explores the construction of a new scientific and technological innovation park with artificial intelligence, big data, industrial robots, intelligent numerical control and electronic chip industries as the core, integrating talent training, research and development, industrial incubation, marketing and training services. The school has successively obtained 37 national patents, including 8 invention patents.
