School introduction:
Kaili College is located in Kaili City, Guizhou Province, the capital of Jinxiu Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, which is known as "the state of forest, the state of song and dance and the state of magic". It is a full-time public undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government.
It is a pilot unit for the transformation and development of ordinary undergraduate colleges in Guizhou Province to application-oriented and a construction unit for the "Thirteenth Five-Year" master's degree-granting project in Guizhou Province, and implements a management system of "co-construction by provinces and states, with states as the mainstay". Kaili College originated from Qiandongnan University and was founded in 1958. 1959 was renamed Qiandongnan Teachers College, and it was renamed many times later.
1978 was restored and rebuilt as Qiandongnan Teachers College for Nationalities with the approval of the State Council; 1993 was renamed as Qiandongnan Teachers College for Nationalities with the approval of the Ministry of Education; In 2002, Guizhou Provincial People's Government approved the cooperation between Qiandongnan Prefecture People's Government and Guizhou Normal University to establish Kaili College of Guizhou Normal University to carry out undergraduate education.
In February 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Qiandongnan Teachers College for Nationalities was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college, named Kaili College. In June 2023, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission signed a contract with the Guizhou Provincial People's Government to jointly build Kaili College.
As of May 2023, the school covers an area of 1676 mu with a building area of 325,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 65.438+0.84 billion yuan, including 6.5438+0.3 million paper books and 6.5438+0.48 million electronic books.
