He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Huazhong Normal University, the executive director of China Education Policy and Law Research Association, and the president of Hubei Education Law and Policy Research Association.

The main scientific research achievements include six monographs, such as Research on Teachers' Rights and Duties in China and the Guarantee Mechanism for Their Realization, Research on Students' Rights and Duties, Education Law, Theory and Practice of Compulsory Education Legal System, and books such as Socialism with Chinese characteristics Education Research and Education Management 10. He has published 70 papers, such as A New Probe into the Status of Educational Regulations, Some Theoretical Issues in the Research on the Status of Educational Regulations, Academic Freedom, Academic Norms and the Governance of Academic Order, Discussion on the Status Quo, Causes and Countermeasures of School-running Legal Disputes, Research on the Prevention and Treatment of Accidental Injuries among Primary and Secondary School Students, and Teachers' Congress Should Play a Practical Role, among which many papers were reprinted by the Information Center of China People's Congress. At present, it undertakes national and provincial key projects such as "Research on the Legal Supervision Mechanism of School-running Behavior" and "Comparative Study on Chinese and American Education Laws".
