Jinhua Institute of Education, founded in 1962, is a higher normal school named by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education. It is not only qualified for adult education enrollment, but also a teaching point for colleges and universities. At present, Jinhua is a teacher training base, a continuing education center for primary and secondary school teachers, a training center for primary and secondary school management cadres and a training center for sports reserve talents. The college consists of five secondary branches (schools), including humanities branch, science and engineering branch, adult education branch, sports school and self-taught branch. In February 2003, Jinhua Sports School was merged into Jinhua Education College.
