There are many kinds of pre-school education institutions in India, and most of the curriculum theories come from the west, but India has always attached importance to Mahatma Gandhi's exposition on early childhood education as the guiding ideology. At present, pre-school education institutions in India are mainly divided into the following five categories:

Teacher training

India's formal public training institutions for preschool teachers include secondary preschool teachers' schools. Private training institutions include Barba Diss teacher center, kindergarten teacher training class and Froebel kindergarten teacher training center, which only introduces Froebel's thoughts.

Community education

The most remarkable achievement of local government in promoting the development of children's education through community is the education reform of "Popular Science Movement" (KSSP) initiated by Kerala, India. The scientists of this activity started the national literacy campaign from the end of 1988.
