Theme 1 of School Safety Education Day
Importance of National Safety Education Day for Primary and Secondary School Students
The last Monday of March every year is the national safety education day for primary and secondary school students. According to the survey data released by the research department, safety accidents have become the "first killer" of children under 14.
At present, accidental injuries of primary and secondary school students occur from time to time. Experts point out that more than 80% of accidental injuries can be avoided through safety education and prevention to improve students' self-protection ability. In order to ensure the safety and healthy growth of students, we should vigorously carry out safety education and formulate the Campus Safety Law as soon as possible. According to the survey, there are more than 20 hidden dangers involved in the life and study of school teenagers, including food poisoning, sports injury, online dating, traffic accidents, fires, drowning and so on. These are harmful to the physical and mental health of teenagers. The survey results also show that the places where parents are most worried about children's injuries are: school (5 1.44%), public places (36.32%), natural environment (10.44%) and home (1.8%), among which school is the place where parents are most worried about children's injuries. According to the investigation and analysis, a considerable number of students' injury accidents at school are caused by poor awareness of school prevention, inadequate safety management measures, poor facilities and improper behavior of students themselves.
Experts in the legal system of education in the Academy of Educational Sciences said that protecting students' safety is the common responsibility of schools, families and society. In order to eliminate potential safety hazards, schools should really incorporate safety education into education and teaching content, guide students to establish safety awareness, master safety knowledge and improve their self-protection ability. Parents should earnestly fulfill their guardianship responsibilities for their children and take safety education as an important part of family education.
This paper introduces the origin of the national safety education day for primary and secondary school students.
Monday in the last week of March every year is the "safety education day" for primary and middle school students in our country. This was determined by the relevant departments in 1996.
Safety accidents have become the first cause of death for children under 14. Campus safety involves more than 20 kinds of hidden dangers in teenagers' life and study: food poisoning, sports injury, online friend-making safety, traffic accidents, fire hazards, drowning, drug hazards, sexual assault, AIDS and so on. Some experts pointed out that 80% of accidental injuries can be avoided by improving the self-protection ability of primary and secondary school students through safety education.
In order to comprehensively and deeply promote safety education in primary and secondary schools, vigorously reduce the incidence of all kinds of casualty accidents, do a good job in safety protection for primary and secondary school students and promote their healthy growth, the State Education Commission, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Railways, the State Sports Commission and the Ministry of Health jointly issued a notice at the beginning of 1996, and decided to establish a national "safety education day" system for primary and secondary school students. On March 25th of that year, Member the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Premier the State Council delivered a televised speech on the first safety education day for primary and secondary school students in China, demanding that the whole society should care about the safety work of primary and secondary schools.
In kindergarten, children should first know the specific requirements of every link and activity in daily life, and know how to do it safely and how to do it unsafe. As we all know, children are young, with poor consciousness and self-control, and the cultivation of good habits can not be effective after one or two educations. Therefore, teachers should not only put forward requirements and teach children methods, but also pay attention to supervision and inspection, and often remind them to strengthen their good habits and gradually form conscious actions. For example, correct and orderly dressing can protect your body, shoelaces can be tied tightly to avoid falling and injury, things taken out of the refrigerator should be smelled first, hot soup should be blown before drinking hot water to avoid burns, and eating without laughing or slapping can prevent foreign objects from entering the trachea. I usually pay great attention to the training of children in these life sectors, so that they can do what they can and never replace them. In this way, children have established good living habits in their own labor practice, thus playing a role in self-protection.
