Guangzhou Nanguo Business Vocational College is a full-time general finance and economics vocational college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education in 2005. It belongs to Guangdong Nanbo Education Group together with Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology (applied undergraduate) and Guangzhou Nanyang Polytechnic Vocational College (science and engineering vocational college).

The school is located in the Health City University Park, Zhong Luotan Town, Baiyun District, the second university town in Guangzhou, with a planned area of 900 mu. Now, the campus area is 387.72 mu, and the school building area is 242,400 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 30,932,900 yuan, and the library has 839,700 books, including 654,380+043,000 kinds of electronic books.

There are 42 majors in the school, including 2 provincial-level brand majors, 2 provincial-level high-level professional groups 1, 6 provincial-level professional groups 1, and 6 school-level high-level professional groups, forming a professional layout featuring new business with finance and trade as the mainstay, management, information, education, culture and medicine developing in a coordinated way.

In the past three years, teachers have won seven second prizes and three third prizes 10 in the teaching ability competition of provincial vocational colleges, and 1 team has been selected for the national competition. In 2022, in the sixth teaching competition for young teachers in colleges and universities in Guangdong Province, the school won the first prize, two second prizes and four third prizes with the score of 1, ranking among the top three private higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province in terms of both the award level and the number of winners, and the school won the "Excellent Organization Award" for the first time.
