What are the professional classification catalogues of the Ministry of Education?
In 2020, colleges and universities added 1672 for record,18/kloc-0 for examination and approval (including 130 for state-controlled distribution and 5/kloc-0 for extra-catalog majors), adjusted 47 degree-granting categories or years of study, and cancelled 367 majors.

According to the "Regulations on the Administration of Undergraduate Specialty Setting in Colleges and Universities" (Jian Gui [2012] No.9), our department organized and carried out the undergraduate specialty setting and adjustment in colleges and universities for 20 19 years.

After declaration, publicity, audit and other procedures, according to the evaluation results of the professional setting and teaching steering Committee of ordinary colleges and universities, and soliciting the opinions of relevant departments, the list of registered majors, state-controlled distribution majors and new majors is determined.

Demand statement

Colleges and universities around the country conscientiously do a good job in the construction of new majors, adhere to demand-oriented, standard-oriented and characteristic-oriented, regard running schools according to social needs as the premise of specialty setting and adjustment, and regard the implementation of national standards as the bottom line requirement of specialty construction.

According to the changes of social needs, we should dynamically adjust the enrollment scale and constantly improve and enhance the professional connotation. It is necessary to improve quality assurance, strengthen the inspection of newly established majors, and promote the close integration of talent training and economic and social development.
