What does SQ mean?
SQ (Speed Quotient) is the abbreviation of "Quotient of Brain Efficiency", that is, "Speed Quotient", which represents a person's brain's intake of external information per unit time and its adaptability to changes in external things. Simply put, SQ is an indicator of a person's objective cognition and quick response ability to external things. It is generally believed that IQ and EQ are closely related to a person's development achievements. However, in today's rapidly developing information society, this view is considered to be one-sided. In the latest formula put forward by Stanford University, success =20% (IQ) +40% (EQ) +40%(SQ). The success of a career in life no longer depends solely on IQ or EQ. In this rapidly changing era, the importance of SQ is becoming more and more important to people's lives. Speed quotient and emotional quotient play 40% roles in life respectively, while IQ has only 20% impact on life. This is the main reason why people with high IQ or EQ may not reach the other side of success, and some even accomplish nothing, while some people with mediocre intelligence and average EQ who can quickly understand and adapt to external changes have performed exceptionally well. Speed quotient contains rich contents, which can be simply summarized into five aspects: First, the ability to understand things quickly. Under the premise of a certain period of time, the cognitive efficiency of the brain to external information is high or low. Second, it can quickly make correct judgments and decisions on changes in external things. Third, according to the regularity of real-time changes, we can correctly predict and judge the future development direction and results. Fourth, the control of fast-changing things can improve the logical thinking ability of the brain, and at the same time improve the control of human neurons by the brain, so that it can control high-speed moving objects. The fifth is to pay close attention to external things. Use the potential meaning area of the brain to improve the attention to external things. The ability to synthesize the above five items can determine the level of speed quotient (SQ), but there is no way to test SQ like IQ. Speed Quotient (SQ) was first put forward in 1998 by E.L. Thorndike, a professor at Columbia University, and Ghana, an American psychologist. And it defines the content of its ability, namely:-the ability of the brain to obtain and process information; -The brain's adaptability to change; -The brain's ability to focus on objective things. People with high speed quotient (SQ) are more likely to succeed than people with high IQ or EQ. 1998, Thorndike, a professor at Columbia University, and Ghana, an American psychologist, put forward the concept of "speed quotient". It is considered that "speed quotient" is an important survival ability of individuals and a way to explore the efficiency and effectiveness of brain operation. Professor from the Kingdom of Ghana even thinks that among the factors of human success, intelligence factor is very important, and emotional factor is also very important, but "IQ" factor is more important. Research and practice have proved that among many subjective factors of people's success, IQ accounts for about 20%, EQ 40% and SQ 40%. What's the difference between EQ and IQ? What is the difference between "SQ" and what we usually call "IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient)"? In the past few decades, it is generally believed that IQ and EQ can determine a person's achievements. However, we often see that some people with high IQ or high EQ are mediocre, while those with average IQ are extraordinary. For example, a professor from the Kingdom of Ghana once conducted a survey on 200 outstanding students in a middle school in Illinois, USA. These students graduated with the highest IQ or EQ, and got good grades after going to college, but by the age of 30, their performance was average. Only a quarter of people have reached the highest level of their peers in this industry, and many people's IQ and EQ are even far worse than ordinary students. The above examples show that students' excellent grades do not guarantee that they will respond appropriately when facing hardships or opportunities in life. Professor from the Kingdom of Ghana appealed: "Since high IQ and high EQ are not necessarily equal to happiness, happiness or success, our education and culture still focus on improving this ability, which has attracted the attention of many educators and psychologists." A lot of evidence shows that in this era of exponential growth in knowledge update rate, people with higher SQ have advantages in all areas of life, and they have greater chances of success in study, work and attitude towards life. Why is this happening? Carefully explore the reasons, intelligence refers to abstract thinking and the ability to reason, learn and solve problems; Emotional intelligence is to understand your emotions, endure setbacks or handle interpersonal relationships well. However, in the 2 1 century, information is changing rapidly, which is no longer an ever-changing era. Only by constantly absorbing ever-changing information, constantly updating our own brain information base and constantly adapting to the changes of the times can we be in an invincible position. What is "SQ"? I found that there are as many as ten versions of SQ! Some people think it's sex, some people think it's success, sleep, I'm sorry, and some people even say it's skin! I think everyone can "sit in the right place": what "S" is interpreted as means what his values are. So people who always feel sorry will say sorry, people who can't sleep well will think of sleeping, people who always think of "that thing" will say sex, and people who want to succeed will say success. In fact, the S I said is very simple, that is, smile-happiness!
