The planned route of Science City South Road in Tianfu New District of Chengdu starts from Yizhou Avenue in the west and ends at Tianfu Avenue in the east, with a total length of 3.2 kilometers. This road is the main urban road at the southern boundary of the Science City area and one of the "five vertical and three horizontal" traffic skeleton roads in the area. The design speed is 60 km/h, the width of the red line is 60 meters, the main road has 6 lanes in both directions, and the auxiliary road has 6 lanes, totaling 12 lanes.

The route involves roads, interchanges, traffic safety, bridges, tunnels, water supply and drainage, green landscape, power tunnels, electric power and other specialties, including three key projects: First, Luxi River Bridge, a large bridge structure among urban bridges; Second, the 3.2-kilometer-long power tunnel project runs through Luxi River and Tianfu Avenue in operation. The third is the full interchange project between Science City South Road and Tianfu Avenue, covering an area of 170 mu. In order to protect the mountains on both sides, a two-way 12 lane tunnel is set after the main line crosses Tianfu Avenue, and a two-way four-lane tunnel is set on the ramp connected with Tianfu Avenue.
