The school has two campuses, Chengnan Academy and Dongfanghong, covering an area of 1.346 mu, with more than 20,000 students, 13 teaching and research institutes, 3 modern industrial institutes and 2 affiliated primary schools. The total area of the library is about 28,000 square meters, with nearly 2 million paper books and 2.2 million electronic books.
It has four applied characteristic disciplines in Hunan Province: pedagogy, mathematics, Marxist theory and music and dance. Approved 3 provincial scientific research and innovation teams; 26 provincial platforms have been built, including the Research Center for Key Technologies of Smart Education and Applied Engineering Technology, the Key Laboratory of Children's Psychological Development and Brain Cognitive Science, and the Key Laboratory of Basic Education Informatization Technology.
