The origin of certificate system
Since 1990, the Ministry of Education has introduced the qualification certificate system for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language to ensure the professional level of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language. Ordinary teacher qualification certificate is established to ensure the professional quality of teachers.
Different acquisition methods
There are two main ways to obtain the qualification certificate of ordinary teachers: to take the national unified examination or the local independent examination, both of which include written examination and interview. However, the qualification certificate of TCFL teachers needs to take the examination organized by Hanban, Ministry of Education.
Different types of certificates
Ordinary teacher qualification certificate is a kind of professional qualification certification, while Chinese as a foreign language teacher qualification certificate is more inclined to prove ability. The qualification certificate for ordinary teachers is jointly issued by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, while the qualification certificate for teaching Chinese as a foreign language is only issued by Hanban of the Ministry of Education.
The meaning of certificate
Ordinary teacher qualification certificate is an officially recognized professional certificate and a necessary certificate for teachers to engage in education. The certificate of teaching Chinese as a foreign language pays more attention to the assessment of teachers' professional ability and teaching level, and is the basic qualification for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
