Like Tiger Mother's point of view, there are indeed some differences between the education of parents in China and those in the West.
First of all, I think the biggest reason is that China parents think their children should obey their orders absolutely, while western parents pay attention to cultivating their children's independent consciousness and self-thinking ability. Secondly, parents in China think they know their children's needs better. In contrast, western parents want their children to choose their own habits and personalities. Thirdly, parents in China set high standards for their children, expecting their children to perform better. On the contrary, western parents are very concerned about their children's feelings and emotions.
Anyway, in my opinion, I don't think there is the best way to educate our children. We should learn from the views of parents in China and the educational views of parents in the West. Only in this way can we cultivate better and smarter next generation.
