To undertake the macro-management of compulsory education and special education, put forward policies and measures to strengthen rural compulsory education with relevant parties, formulate goals and policies to promote the balanced development of compulsory education, and put forward policies and measures to ensure all kinds of students to receive compulsory education on an equal footing; Responsible for the implementation of compulsory education standards, standardize the behavior of compulsory education schools, and promote education and teaching reform; To formulate policies for the development of preschool education and special education and basic teaching documents for basic education; To guide the education and teaching management of private ordinary primary and secondary schools; Macroscopically manage the construction of textbooks for primary and secondary schools in the region, organize the implementation of local textbooks, guide the development of school-based textbooks for primary and secondary schools in the region, and promote the curriculum reform of basic education; Guide the teaching informatization of primary and secondary schools, the configuration of libraries and experimental equipment; To undertake the management of compulsory education students' academic qualifications.
