Build a relatively stable and high-quality mental health education and psychological counseling team for college students with full-time teachers as the backbone and full-time and part-time jobs. We should adhere to the principle of being lean and equipped with a certain number of full-time teachers engaged in mental health education for college students. In principle, the ideological and political education team of college students should include full-time personnel. Schools with teaching institutions such as pedagogy, psychology, physiology and medicine can also be included in the corresponding professional sequence. Part-time teachers to carry out psychological counseling and counseling activities, should calculate the workload or give reasonable remuneration.
Strengthen the mental health education of college students and the training of full-time and part-time consultants. The Ministry of Education should focus on training key teachers of college students' mental health education in batches. Education departments and colleges and universities in all provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) should take effective measures to train college students' mental health education team, and gradually make full-time mental health education consultants meet the requirements of holding certificates with reference to the relevant regulations and requirements of relevant state departments for psychological counseling professionals.
All faculty and staff in colleges and universities have the responsibility to educate and guide the healthy growth of college students. According to students' ideological trends and psychological conditions, we should consciously and pertinently do a good job in education and guidance in teaching, management and service. We should attach importance to the important role of college students' ideological and political education staff, especially counselors and class teachers, in college students' mental health education, strengthen training, make them understand and master the basic knowledge and methods of mental health education, help college students deal with specific problems encountered in study, job selection, making friends and healthy life, and improve the pertinence and effectiveness of ideological and political education.
