Self-study examination of higher education is dual: it is not only a national examination system, but also a new educational form. The curriculum of self-study exam for extended materials is divided into:
1, public basic course: all candidates with major or similar major must attend the course. For example, an introduction to the basic principles of Marxism, an outline of China's modern history, English II, political economy, etc. Although the public course is not necessarily directly related to the major studied, it is an essential course to cultivate talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique and to provide methodology for further study of other contents.
2. Professional basic courses: courses of basic theories, basic knowledge and basic skills that candidates of this major should learn. The basic course is to lay a foundation for candidates to master professional knowledge, learn professional technology and develop our related abilities. For example, "Principles of Management" for business administration (undergraduate) majors and "Fundamentals and Applications of E-commerce" for e-commerce majors belong to basic courses.
3. Specialized courses: basic courses directly related to professional knowledge and skills (referred to as specialized courses).
Examination time
The national self-study examination time is generally as follows: the self-study examination is held four times a year (the number of provinces and cities is determined by the provincial examination office), and the examination time is 1 month, April, July and1month respectively.
