School of Foreign Affairs. Cfau refers to the Foreign Affairs College, which is an institution of higher learning affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to train talents in diplomacy, foreign-related economy and law with both ability and political integrity. The Foreign Affairs University is the only small-scale, high-level and distinctive university directly under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim of serving China's diplomatic career and cultivating first-class diplomatic talents.

The School of Foreign Affairs has nine teaching units, including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs Management, the Department of English, the Department of Foreign Languages, the International Legal System, the School of International Economics, the Department of Basic Education, the graduate department, the Institute of International Relations and the Institute of International Education, and more than 30 research centers, including the Institute of Asian Studies and the Institute of International Law.
