This paper discusses Froebel's views on the position and function of preschool education.
(1) Education should follow the natural development of children.

Froebel believes that children have four instincts, namely, activity instinct, cognitive instinct, artistic instinct and religious instinct. Among them, the instinct of activity is the most important instinct. Therefore, we should attach importance to kindergarten activities to develop children's body and mind.

(2) Self-activity is the principle of children's education.

Froebel believes that children's behavior is the expression of internal life forms and is dominated by internal motives. Only through these behaviors can children grow and develop.

(3) Emphasize the value of the game.

The birth of Froebel

Friedrich Wilhelm Frobel was born in Thuringia, a German village, on1April 2, 9821782. His father is a devout priest and he has five children. Wrobel is his youngest child. Foucault's mother died nine months after his birth. His father is in charge of six or seven churches independently, so the responsibility of taking care of wrobel falls on his brothers, sisters and servants. When he was four years old, his father had a second wife, and his stepmother liked him very much. This period of time is the happiest day of his life. But soon her stepmother gave birth to a boy, and Froebel's life changed, and her stepmother began to treat him as an outsider. In this case, Froebel suffered a great blow, and naturally, a deep "generation gap" was formed between him and his stepmother. Due to the change of environment and spiritual loneliness, he has formed an introverted personality and does not like to make friends, so his philosophical and ideological character can be said to be influenced by family and environment. Growing up in the countryside, he not only formed his withdrawn character, but also liked to get in touch with nature, immerse himself in the comfort of nature and keep thinking. In the next few years, he loved flowers and trees more and realized the truth and mystery of the universe in nature. In the future, the source of his thoughts has sprouted in his young mind.

Inspired by childhood.
