According to the Notice of Qujing Municipal People's Government Office of Qujing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China on Printing and Distributing the Implementation Opinions on the Institutional Reform of Qujing Municipal People's Government (Qu Ban Fa [2010] No.43), Qujing Municipal Education Bureau was established as a department of Qujing Municipal People's Government, at the level.

Qujing Education Bureau has established a Party Committee, with Party Secretary 1 person, Deputy Party Secretary 1 person and 7 Party Committee members. The administrative establishment of the agency is 5 1 person, including the director 1 person, 5 deputy directors, secretary of the discipline inspection commission 1 person (deputy department level), and 25 department-level leaders (including 1 office leaders of retirees with tags).
Qujing Education Bureau is located at No.69 Cuifeng Road, Qilin District, Qujing City, adjacent to Qujing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Main responsibilities:
(a) to implement the educational policies, laws and regulations of the party and the state, to implement the provincial and municipal decisions on education, to formulate the city's educational reforms and policies, and to supervise their implementation.
(two) responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all kinds of education at all levels. In conjunction with relevant departments, formulate standards for the establishment of schools at all levels, guide the education and teaching reform of schools at all levels, and be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information.
(three) responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting education equity, responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education, and guiding the work of ordinary high school education, preschool education and special education. Draw up the evaluation standards of basic education, basic teaching requirements and basic teaching documents, organize the examination and approval of local curriculum materials at the municipal level in primary and secondary schools, and fully implement quality education.
(four) to guide the education supervision work, to be responsible for organizing and guiding the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of secondary and below secondary education and youth literacy, and to guide the monitoring of the development level and quality of basic education.
(five) to guide the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education, formulate teaching guidance documents and teaching evaluation standards for secondary vocational education, and guide the construction of teaching materials and vocational guidance for secondary vocational education.
(six) to be responsible for the overall management of education funds in this department, to participate in the formulation of education fund raising, education appropriation and education infrastructure investment policies, and to be responsible for the statistics of education fund investment.
(seven) to guide the ideological and political work and moral education in schools at all levels, to guide the sports health, art education and national defense education in schools at all levels, to guide the off-campus education of young people in the city, and to coordinate and guide the education of ethnic minorities.
