Jiangsu Aviation Vocational and Technical College (referred to as Jiangsu Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) is a public full-time ordinary college approved by the people's government of Jiangsu Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is the only aviation professional higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province. Focusing on the development of aviation industry, the college systematically builds characteristic professional groups such as aviation engineering and aviation flight (service). It is the deputy director of the National Aviation Industry Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and the director of the UAV Application Technology Professional Teaching Steering Committee.
The college has a high-quality and high-level teaching team with professors, senior engineers, doctors and provincial and municipal academic leaders as the leading figures and provincial and municipal backbone teachers as the core. Academician of China Academy of Engineering was hired as professional tutor of aircraft, aero-engines, large aircraft and aviation materials, and aviation entrepreneurs in the province were hired as entrepreneurial employment tutors. The college pays attention to strengthening the construction of training bases inside and outside the school, improving practical teaching conditions and realizing the integration of "teaching, learning and teaching". There are graphic information center, Boeing 737-300 aircraft training platform and basic experimental training center, modern manufacturing training center, aviation maintenance training center, UAV collaborative innovation training center and aviation service training center in the campus, and training bases of multi-level aviation branches such as national aviation-related central enterprises, civil aviation, general aviation and Zhenjiang Aerospace Industrial Park are signed off campus to fully meet the needs of students' theoretical and practical learning.
The college is located in Zhenjiang, a famous historical and cultural city, and in the economic belt of the Yangtze River Delta. It is an economic sector in the south of China and an important city in Ningzhen Yangdu District. It takes less than 20 minutes to get to Nanjing by high-speed train. The campus is built in Zhenjiang Aerospace Industrial Park, with mountains in the north and Hu Rui Lake in the east. There are aviation education towns and Jingxing campus, with beautiful environment and first-class education, teaching and living conditions. The college emphasizes accurate enrollment, implements 6S management concept and aviation service etiquette norms, and pays attention to the cultivation of students' aviation professional quality.
