Educational equity is the extension and embodiment of social equity in the field of education. The fairness and justice to be realized in building a harmonious society must include the fairness and justice of education. The fairness and justice of education is by no means a low-level educational average, nor is it a single chaotic state of eliminating differences, levels, diversity, characteristics and famous brands. The education fairness and justice needed to build a harmonious society should be a better and higher-level education than it is now, and a high-quality education system with high-level popularization, high-balanced development and high-quality education.

Harmonious education is fair education and balanced development education. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's Decision on Several Major Issues in Building a Harmonious Socialist Society specifically points out that it is necessary to "give priority to the development of education and promote educational equity", that is, to build educational equity and balance so that all people can share high-quality educational resources and educational reform achievements.
