Nantong University is the birthplace of the spirit of Mo Wensui (homophonic "Mo Wen"). Over the past 20 years, under the inheritance and infiltration of the spirit of "Mo Wensui", helping the poor, helping others and loving public welfare have taken root and become a common practice in Nantong University. On March 4th, 2005, the "Mo Wensui" Young Volunteers Association of Nantong University was formally established, the "Mo Wensui" Fund and official website were established, and the subordinate secondary colleges were equipped with Mo Wensui Volunteer Service Team. At this point, the volunteer work of Nantong University has been organized, standardized and specialized. One hundred years ago, Mr. Zhang Jian set up education and put forward the educational purpose of "virtue and pure learning". Knowing good and doing good is for good. The spirit of "Mo Wensui" makes Nantong University form a unique campus culture and university spirit. The spirit of "Mo Wensui" needs to be passed down from generation to generation. Teachers and students of Tongda University actively participate in public welfare undertakings and spread the spirit of "Mo Wensui" to all parts of the country and overseas.
