In order to support the work of "stopping classes without stopping studying" and help students study at home, the Ministry of Education has integrated high-quality teaching resources of the country, relevant provinces and cities and schools, and opened the cloud platform during the school extension period.

On February 17, 2020, the platform was officially opened for free use by all localities, and 50 million students could use it online at the same time. On February 14, 2020, the Ministry of Education issued an announcement to adjust the division of learning resources related to the national primary and secondary school network cloud platform. The national primary and secondary school network cloud platform only provides learning resources for middle school students, does not replace normal classroom teaching in schools, and is only used for review or preview. The content of primary school students' learning was broadcast by China Education Television Channel 4 on February 17. The national primary and secondary school network cloud platform was launched on February 17, 2020. At the same time, Channel 4 of China Education Television transmits relevant courses to users all over the country through the direct satellite home communication platform, covering remote rural areas with weak network signal or cable TV. In order to enrich learning resources, some provincial education departments and primary and secondary schools have been organized to open online learning platforms or online schools to the whole country free of charge.
