China CCTV (English name: China Central Television) is a national television station and a national vice-ministerial organization in People's Republic of China (PRC), which was established on May 2005 1958+0. It is the news and public opinion organization and ideological and cultural position in China, and has many functions such as news dissemination, social education, cultural entertainment and information service.
China CCTV, formerly known as Beijing TV Station, officially started broadcasting on September 2nd, 1958, and changed its name to CCTV in May, 1978. 1996, its online media CCTV was established and put into trial operation. In 2004, CCTV launched a digital pay channel.
In 2007, CCTV launched a mobile media channel, followed by an IP TV channel. In 2009, China Internet TV (CNTV), which was revised from CCTV, was officially launched.
