Master's defense process
There are two main links in the postgraduate defense process: the respondent's report and the respondent's question and answer.

1, reported by the respondent.

The defense report is an important link, and the time is generally not fixed, depending on the number of respondents and the order of defense. If there are many people, the time will definitely be shorter, and according to experience, the students in front will generally drag on for a long time, and the students in the back will be shortened accordingly, so be prepared psychologically.

As for how to report, there are also different forms. Some schools require PPT presentation, while others are primitive and prepare their own manuscripts, just like speeches. It depends on the arrangement of the school or college.

2. Questions and answers from members of the National Defense Commission.

After the report is finished, it is the questions of the defense members, usually one after another. As for whether to answer one question at once or wait until all the questions are asked before answering them together, it also depends on the specific situation. It is generally decided by the host, and it is best for the respondent to take notes when asking questions. Because you may ask a lot of questions, after answering the first question, you may forget the rest.

Be modest when you answer. Even if you feel that the teacher has completely misunderstood and asked some irrelevant questions, you should thank them first and then explain patiently.

Master student profile:

Master students (referred to as master students) refer to graduate students studying for master's degrees. Graduate students are graduate degrees. Compared with undergraduates, postgraduate education pays more attention to cultivating students' ability to study and analyze problems, especially their scientific research and teaching ability.

Graduate students who graduate normally and meet the conditions for conferring degrees will be awarded graduation certificates and master's degree certificates. Postgraduates in China are divided into academic masters and professional masters. Academic master's degree is generally 3 years, and professional master's degree is generally 2 to 3 years.

Full-time and part-time graduate students implement the same examination enrollment policies and training standards, and their academic degree certificates have the same legal status and the same effect. The enrollment brochure of each postgraduate training unit must specify the learning method, the length of study, the charging standard and so on. Candidates apply for full-time or part-time graduate students independently according to the national enrollment policy and the training unit enrollment brochure.
