The AICE evaluation project is jointly undertaken by the Smart Education Professional Committee and the Popularization Committee under the Chinese Automation Society, and the specific operation is undertaken by the Future Gene (Beijing) Artificial Intelligence Research Institute. A number of primary and secondary schools represented by high school affiliated to renmin university of china, affiliated high school of south china normal university, the First Affiliated Middle School of Huazhong Normal University and the Experimental Primary School of China Renmin University became the "first demonstration schools" of AICE evaluation project.
Significance of AICE evaluation
1.AICE assessment provides a graded assessment system for students. This system was established with the joint efforts of many well-known experts. It is authoritative and scientific, which can provide opportunities for students studying artificial intelligence in basic education to take exams and exercise, and also give them an objective understanding of their current level, and provide some direction guidance for teachers engaged in related disciplines.
Second, the project is committed to promoting the standardized development of artificial intelligence in the basic education stage, making a reserve for the country to select outstanding AI technical talents to adapt to the future, and leading a new path for the popularization of artificial intelligence.
Thirdly, AICE evaluation is like a mirror, which can reflect the achievements of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools of various schools and the core literacy level of individual students. Therefore, AICE assessment will become a banner of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools, and its outline has been demonstrated and verified by experts, which can be used as a reference for primary and secondary schools in China to design courses and integrate curriculum resources. Up to now, there are 105 primary and secondary schools in China that have passed the application and evaluation and become "AICE Middle School Co-construction Model Schools".
