Two. Shandong University of Political Science and Law is located in Jinan, a famous historical and cultural city, 1955. On July 20th, Shandong Provincial People's Committee issued the circular of Lu Rending (55) 16 18, and decided to set up Shandong Political Science and Law Cadre School. 1959 On February 24th, Shandong University of Political Science and Law was formally established according to the spirit of the Notice of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on Establishing Shandong University of Political Science and Law [Lu Fa 59 ZiNo. 169], and Shu Tong, then the first secretary of the provincial party committee, wrote the name of the school. 1979 12.23 The notice of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on the establishment of the Provincial Department of Justice and the Provincial School of Political Science and Law Cadres is as follows [Lu Fa (1979) No.81] and it is decided to resume the establishment of Shandong School of Political Science and Law Cadres. 1983 10 3, Document No.80 of Shandong Provincial Department of Education gave a reply: Shandong Political Science and Law Cadre School was agreed to be transformed into Shandong Judicial Management Cadre College. 1987 10, renamed Shandong Institute of Political Science and Law Management. In February 2005, Shandong University of Political Science and Law was established. On March 6, 2007 and April 26, 2007, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Shandong Province respectively issued documents agreeing to formally establish Shandong University of Political Science and Law. After more than 60 years' efforts, Shandong University of Political Science and Law has developed into a university with undergraduate education as the main body, as well as master of law, junior college and international student education. Ordinary undergraduate colleges with legal characteristics and advantages include economics, management, literature, engineering and other disciplines.
I. Orientation of running a school
Focusing on the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, we should adhere to the development idea of "dislocation competition and characteristic development" and implement the development strategy of "characteristic mountain politics, cultural mountain politics, rule of law mountain politics, smart mountain politics, open mountain politics and harmonious mountain politics" to build a first-class and distinctive application-oriented university in the province.
Second, disciplines and majors
Discipline orientation: highlight the characteristics, strengthen the discipline of law, coordinate the development of disciplines other than law, and build a "122" discipline system with "law as the core, economic management as the wings, information technology as the foundation and foreign language as the foundation", which is classified, integrated and mutually supported.
Law is the core. School law education has a long history and profound connotation, and the discipline advantage of law specialty is outstanding. The school law discipline is the first discipline in a provincial university to have all the "three key" construction projects of the law discipline-provincial key discipline criminal law, provincial key discipline economic law, provincial key laboratory evidence appraisal laboratory, and provincial key humanities and social science research base civil and commercial law and people's livelihood research center. There are two provincial-level scientific research and innovation platforms in the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" of law discipline, and the legal professional group has been approved as a provincial-level high-level applied professional group. Law major is one of the first batch of national "undergraduate teaching project" pilot majors for comprehensive reform in local universities, a high-level applied construction major in Shandong Province, an experimental zone for the reform and innovation of provincial talent training mode, and a project supported by the development support plan for applied talent training major in provincial universities. The school is the president of Shandong Law Society, Legal History, Legislation, Criminal Law Society, Economic Law and Network Law Research Society. On Politics and Law is the core academic journal of RCCSE in China, the important reprint source journal of Copying Newspaper Materials, the national Chinese core journal and the source journal of CSSCI.
Characteristics of integral method. Taking the discipline of law as the leader, radiation will drive the development of other disciplines in the school. For example, economics majors focus on the combination of commercial law, political management majors strengthen the combination of law and politics, journalism and communication majors highlight the direction of rule of law news, information technology majors highlight the direction of electronic evidence, and foreign language majors highlight the direction of legal English. Non-law majors have distinct characteristics of integrating law.
School 2 1 undergraduate majors: law, intellectual property, prison science, economics, international economy and trade, financial engineering, financial management, international business, auditing, administrative management, political science and administration, English, business English, Japanese, journalism, editing and publishing, network and new media, information engineering, information management and information system, and cyberspace security. Among them, law, prison science, international economy and trade, and administrative management are provincial majors.
