Original text:
It's better to see bad than good. It's like exploring soup. I have seen him and listened to him. Living in seclusion is ambition, and doing righteousness is Tao. I heard what he said, but I didn't see him.
Translation:
When you see good behavior, you worry that you can't achieve it. When you see bad behavior, you just avoid it as quickly as putting your hand in boiling water. I have seen such people and heard such words. Live in seclusion to preserve one's ambition and act according to righteousness. I have heard such words, but I have never seen such a person.
Extended data:
"Seeing good is better than seeing evil, like exploring soup", that is, we should always think about the harm of greed. If a person's desires are difficult to be satisfied, he may be in danger of sinking or even falling. For leading cadres, if they indulge in lust, debauchery and debauchery, they will degenerate, not only ruining their own future and even their lives, but also becoming a disaster for the people and the country.
Only by constantly thinking about the dangers of greed can we constantly enhance our vigilance against all kinds of temptations. We must adhere to selflessness, distinguish between public and private, put public before private, forget private, do not seek personal gain, do not take chances, and always regard law and discipline as a "thunder pool" and never overstep it; Regard the sound of dogs and horses as a "disaster" and never touch it; Use money as bait, and don't be fooled.
