According to local people, sand bottle painting was originally a folk art of Arab nomadic tribes. Bedouins who live in the desert all the year round pour sand of different colors into glass bottles of different shapes, and use the plasticity of sand to pile up colorful desert wonders in the bottles as gifts for relatives and friends. Later, it gradually developed, screening ordinary sand, and then dyeing, drying, rolling and other treatments.

Petra, the ancient city of Jordan, is called "the city of roses", with brown, red, orange, purple, light blue, yellow and green rocks.
