A brief introduction to the main stages of educational technology development in China
1, the development of educational technology in China is mainly divided into two stages, namely, the formation and initial development stage of audio-visual education and the all-round development stage of audio-visual education technology after reform and opening up.

2. Educational technology, as a new field of practice and research, began with the audio-visual education movement in the United States, and was marked by the appearance of audio-visual education in China. At the beginning of the 20th century, slides were introduced into China, and the earliest silent film and slide show education methods began. With the development of foreign audio-visual education, the concept of audio-visual education was introduced to China in 1930s, which attracted the attention of the government education departments and scholars at that time and established the name of "audio-visual education". From 65438 to 0936, the Ministry of Education established the Film Education Committee and the Broadcasting Education Committee in Nanjing, which were the earliest audio-visual education institutions in China.

Before liberation, the development of economy, education and science and technology was backward. Audio-visual education in China is sporadic and carried out in a few cities, schools and social educational institutions, but it is not widely implemented. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), audio-visual education developed rapidly, and TV universities and radio correspondence universities were established in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Until 1965, China's audio-visual education has made great achievements and developed rapidly.

4. The three-year economic difficulties in the early 1960s and the "Cultural Revolution" that began in 1966 severely devastated the education in China, and the whole audio-visual education was paralyzed and stopped.

5. After ten years of turmoil from 65438 to 0976, the Party and the government adopted a series of policies and measures to bring order out of chaos, and the education work in China gradually resumed, and telephone education also started again.

6. By 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee was held, and audio-visual education began to develop rapidly.
