Weng 'an is rich in phosphate resources and is known as the "Asian Phosphorus Pool". Weng 'an is famous for having the largest phosphate rock in China, and its total resources/reserves rank first in Asia.
Weng 'an is the origin of life, an ancient city with a thousand years of civilization. Fossils of fauna dating back 580 million years have been found here, which is the earliest fauna discovered so far.
Since Jian 'an County was established in Tang Dynasty, it has a history of 1396 years. Weng 'an is an old revolutionary base area. The Red Army's Long March passed through Weng 'an four times, and a monkey farm meeting was held here, which was hailed as "the eve of a great turning point".
