How do junior one students learn math better?
Author: Zhikang Education Peking University Campus Teacher Li For children who have just entered the first grade, mathematics learning is particularly important because of its particularity. There are great differences between junior high school mathematics and primary school mathematics in thought, form and learning methods. So what should junior one students pay attention to in their study? Firstly, cultivate students' mathematical rigor ideologically. There are often many junior one students who don't pay attention to the rigor of mathematics and think that finding the correct answer is enough, whether it is calculation or reasoning process. Over time, students have developed a bad habit, which has a bad influence on their future study of mathematics. Stiffness is the basic feature of mathematical theory, which requires that the expression of mathematical conclusions must be accurate and concise, and the reasoning and argumentation of conclusions should be well-founded step by step and meet the reasoning requirements everywhere. Considering students' understanding ability and characteristics, we can appropriately reduce the rigor of middle school mathematics teaching content, but we must ensure that students have a correct understanding and mastery of the corresponding teaching content. Gradually cultivate and develop students' logical thinking ability. Secondly, in form, we should cultivate students' abstract thinking. The content of primary school mathematics textbooks is popular and concrete, while junior high school mathematics learning content is abstract, paying more attention to the transformation of letters, equations and graphics. Pay attention to both calculation and simple proof, which increases the difficulty compared with primary school. In primary school, due to the lack of teaching content, insufficient class hours, small class capacity and slow progress, there is enough time to repeatedly emphasize key and difficult contents; Teachers have time to demonstrate the solutions of various exercises, and students have enough time to consolidate. Due to the increase of knowledge points, many subjects, increased flexibility, large class capacity and rapid progress in junior high school. This also makes freshmen unable to adapt to junior high school mathematics learning, so cultivating students' abstract thinking is conducive to adapting to junior high school mathematics learning more quickly. Thirdly, in learning methods, we should cultivate students' ability to draw inferences from others. In primary school, teachers talk in detail and practice more. During the examination, students can generally remember the concepts, formulas and example types taught by teachers and get good grades. Therefore, students are used to turning around the teacher, not paying attention to independent thinking and law induction. However, in junior high school, because there is much content and little time, the teacher can't talk about details, but can only talk about some specific and typical topics. Therefore, students are required to be diligent in thinking, good at summing up laws and mastering teaching methods. However, for freshmen, the learning methods of primary schools are still used, and the study habits of preview, review, summary and self-adjustment have not yet been developed, which is obviously not conducive to the formation of good learning methods and the improvement of learning quality. Finally, I think the first teacher in learning is interest. Some people think that children's interest in learning should be cultivated first. In fact, I think that as long as children can master the correct learning methods, learning is a relaxing and enjoyable thing, and they will naturally be interested, so we still have to do the first three tasks well, which is the most important thing.
