Do mothers know that breastfeeding must follow the following principles?

Principle 1: provide adequate breast milk for the baby from birth to 6 months.

The baby has two growth peaks in his life. The first growth peak is within 1 year, especially within 6 months, which can be said to be the peak of the peak period. The younger the month, the faster the growth, which can be fully reflected from the growth curve of baby's weight and height.

Breast milk contains all the nutrients that the baby needs for growth and development within 4 months, so the baby does not need to add any food, water and other drinks before 4 months. Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended.

Principle 2: Feeding according to need

When breastfeeding, especially in the first 1 month, it is very important to breastfeed on demand.

Principle 3: Add complementary food in time to provide comprehensive nutrition for your baby.

After four months, no matter how much breast milk is secreted, pure breast milk can not fully meet the baby's development needs. We must start adding supplementary foods, such as egg yolk, vegetable puree and starchy foods, to prevent anemia and other problems. The addition of complementary food is not dispensable, but should be equivalent to breastfeeding. For example, mud paste plays a connecting role in the transition of human diet from liquid to solid. The variety and weight of complementary food are increasing, which not only ensures the baby to get comprehensive nutrition, but also enables the baby to gradually enter the weaning period, so as to prepare physically and psychologically for complete weaning in the future.

Principle 4: lactating mothers must pay attention to their overall nutrition and health.

Breast-feeding mothers should insist on supplementing calcium and vitamins A and D to provide high-quality "milk source" for their babies. If Mommy lacks calcium, in order to keep the calcium content in milk unchanged, Mommy's own bone calcium should be used, which will cause osteomalacia, osteoporosis, lumbago and leg pain and so on. The composition of breast milk will change with postpartum time, and some external factors will temporarily affect the secretion of milk. While paying attention to the correct feeding, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, feel comfortable, don't go on a diet too early, ensure the normal secretion of milk, and the nutrition and immune components will not decline.

Principle 5: Mommy in the workplace should ensure that the milk secretion does not decrease.

You can squeeze the milk out and store it in a bottle, let the nurse feed it to the baby during the day, and insist on breastfeeding in the morning and evening; Mommy who is on a short-term business trip can squeeze out the milk early, keep it in the freezer and feed it to the children by the nanny; Mommy should pay attention to milking in time at work and on business trips.

Principle 6: Weaning should be gradual.

Under normal circumstances, if you choose to wean completely in 8 months, you can start from 6 months, gradually reduce the number of breastfeeding and replace it with complementary food. Of course, those with insufficient breast milk can be weaned in advance and try to make a good connection to facilitate the baby's physical and psychological adaptation.

Principle 7: Pay attention to the weaning season.

The best weaning season is spring and autumn, and the temperature should not be too high or too low to avoid weaning in summer.
