What are the differences between Chinese and American classroom education models?
The first type: interactive teaching.

Under this teaching mode, in the United States, professors like to have dialogues and exchanges with students. Generally, professors will prepare some related questions in advance, then guide students, clarify their own views, ask questions at any time, and students can also discuss with each other to achieve the purpose of learning new knowledge. Classroom professors in American universities rarely speak for themselves in class. They will use various teaching methods and means to enrich classroom teaching. For example, the professor will ask some exploratory questions for discussion. As soon as the question was raised, the class became lively and everyone expressed their opinions. Rather than interactive teaching, such classes are more like occasional debates. Sometimes, the professor will be aggressive, keep asking questions, make your questions clear, or force you to be speechless and discuss with another person. This kind of class is fast-paced, tense and intense.

In fact, this teaching mode is also very common in China. However, due to the implicit character of China students, students often do not actively participate in it. Worst of all, the professor asked a question, not a class discussion, but said, "Who has an idea, can we talk about it?" No, I want to call the roll? "When this sentence is said, all the students will panic and keep praying, but don't call me, don't call me! At this point, the classroom was silent and embarrassed. In fact, the teaching mode of professors is on the one hand, but the fundamental reason for this situation is that students have no awareness of active participation. It's no use if the professor organizes such activities again and the students don't cooperate!

The second type: group cooperation

This teaching model, in the United States, professors like to divide students into groups. Perhaps once this group is determined, it will run through the whole semester, and some research projects may be organized for the group to complete collectively. Generally speaking, there are some research topics for students to choose from, and then in a limited time, students have to complete them through a series of stages such as research, design, or making research reports, and finally show them in groups, score them or compete in groups. In this way, students actively participate in it and cultivate the spirit of cooperation.

Everyone is educated in China, and everyone may have the idea that domestic group activities are really disgusting. There are always some people in the group who want to sit back and relax, enjoy success and make everyone feel unbalanced. At the same time, this kind of activity also needs the constant supervision of teachers. If the teacher is here, just discuss a few words. If he is not here, let's have a chat!

Teaching mode is not only limited to the teaching methods of professors, but also inseparable from students. A good curriculum atmosphere requires the joint efforts of teachers and students. We can learn from our American friends. I hope everyone can actively participate in the course, not only to cooperate with the teacher's work, but also to benefit themselves the most.
