Xi University of Architecture and Technology, referred to as "Xijian University", is located in the ancient capital Xi. It was jointly established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province. It is one of the "Old Eight Schools of Architecture" in China and a key university directly under the former Ministry of Metallurgical Industry.
