Brief introduction of Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College;
Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College is located in the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt and is known as the "throat of the western regions" in changji city. It is a public full-time ordinary college.
The College was formerly known as changji city Agricultural School, which was founded in 1958. 1988 was renamed Xinjiang Agricultural School under the Agriculture Department of the Autonomous Region, and was upgraded to Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College in 2000. In 2008, it merged with the former Agricultural Cadre School of the Autonomous Region to form the present Xinjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College.
In February, 2022, the Party Group Integration Hall of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of the Autonomous Region, as a scientific and educational resource, integrated the scientific research units and institutions under the department, realized the sharing of scientific and educational resources and complementary advantages, rapidly improved the training quality of agriculture, rural areas and farmers in the autonomous region and the supporting capacity of rural revitalization and agricultural and rural modernization scientific and technological services, and created a precedent for the integrated development of vocational colleges and scientific research institutes nationwide.
The College is located in changji city, 30km away from Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, and 18km away from Urumqi International Airport. Changji city, located in the center of the Eurasian continent, is an important part of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt in Xinjiang and the core growth pole of Xinjiang's economic development.
There are hundreds of listed companies and group companies and thousands of well-known enterprises around Changji, which is a broad platform for deepening the integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation, and a "double base" for college students' internship and employment.
The college has four campuses: headquarter, Tunhe campus, Dongquan campus and Yuquan campus. There are three research institutes in the autonomous region, covering an area of 108 17 mu.
