Many people think that it is not so important for a person to finish primary school, middle school and university. Because many people have gained wealth through entrepreneurship even if they have not received a particularly perfect education. In fact, the self-employed groups only exist in a small number of people, and most of their successful results are quickly squandered and there is no strong capital. This is usually because they have no higher ideals and pursuits after making money.
Education plays a very important role in society. Education can be divided into family education, school education and so on. Together, these educations play a very important role in guiding students.
In the long history, there are only a handful of people who have successfully dropped out of school to start a business, such as Bill Gates, Jobs and Facebook founder Zuckerberg. First, both Gates and Zuckerberg went to Harvard. Both of them dropped out of school after finding ways to make money, and took care of both study and entrepreneurship during their years of study. Later, because Microsoft was too busy, they gave up studying. Jobs came from a relatively poor family. He didn't continue his studies because he couldn't bear to spend his parents' money.
Education is a purposeful, organized, planned and systematic social activity to impart knowledge and technical norms. The fundamental value of education is to provide the country with talents with lofty beliefs, high moral character, honesty and law-abiding, exquisite skills and versatile talents, cultivate and bring up the labor force needed for economic and social development, train qualified citizens, create scientific knowledge and material wealth for the country, family and society, promote economic growth, promote national prosperity, promote human development, and promote world peace and human development.
In ancient times, people often advocated the educational theory of "managing the family, governing the country and leveling the world". Many scholars take this as their lifelong goal and many people go through fire and water for it.
Now what we usually call "education" is very narrow, which is only equivalent to the ancient word "teaching". More is school education, that is, purposefully guiding the educated to acquire knowledge and skills, so as to cultivate the educated into people needed by society.
But from my personal point of view, education should create conditions to promote the interaction between people and the outside world, make cognition mature and develop, make the educated establish their own independent personality, and make them have the ability to judge and think.
Spencer, a western educator, believes that education should prepare for future life, or that education is life itself, and its key point is to let the educated learn how to live. So I think the purpose of today's education is to make people become real people and make their own value for society after becoming real people. This is what we should do. As for the meaning of education, I think it should be that every life can feel its own growth, which is the real meaning of education.
