Considering the surrounding environment of Erqi Tower comprehensively, the architectural features of the tower itself are applied according to local conditions, and the unique charm of the building is displayed in the tower, which makes visitors who climb the tower enjoy it.
Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Hall is the only red education base in Zhengzhou. The building itself occupies an important position in the history of Zhengzhou's urban development and has attracted the attention and attention of people from all walks of life. Chen Zhan's internal design scheme has been repeatedly demonstrated by experts, and the opinions and suggestions of the public and the staff of the whole library have been collected. After the preliminary scheme design was completed, we held a staff meeting to let the Erqi people who have guarded the Erqi Tower for many years evaluate it. After the meeting, the design unit will integrate their opinions into practice. In the middle stage of design, we hired experts from Chen Zhan, history, sculpture and other related majors to guide the design scheme.
Third, expand the maximum exhibition space and connect the mood of the audience.
The exhibition hall space needs to maximize the exhibition purpose and handle the relationship of "people-exhibits-environment", that is, arrange an appropriate and efficient exhibition. Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Tower covers an area of 352 square meters, and the internal area of each exhibition hall ranges from 39 square meters to 36 square meters, and the area decreases step by step. In view of this feature, we regard the short-term exhibition area reversal as the characteristic of the exhibition hall, grasp the visual feelings of the audience, extend the exhibition lines and express the exhibition contents by means of science and technology and art.

The main function of the single tower on the east side of Erqi Tower is vertical traffic, accounting for half of the whole tower. In order to make full use of it and make the content between the vertical exhibition halls coherent, the external walls of all the stairs of Erqi Tower are designed as "memory" walls, which play the role of filling the content and prolonging the exhibition. The scattered old photos on the stairwell wall are very historical. It is the innovation and highlight of this exhibition to connect the exhibition contents of each exhibition hall in series with time clues. The "memory" wall is inlaid with railings and handrails, and the solid wood is matched with copper-proof paint, which has a good texture and feel, not only satisfying the use function, but also embellishing the space, echoing the theme of the railway.
What's more worth mentioning is that the window cover of each staircase breaks the traditional design method and boldly uses relief to decorate the whole wall. The windows of the red fence are embedded in the bronze relief wall, and all kinds of objects and elements that echo the contents displayed on this floor are molded on the relief, which is particularly chic and brings the comparative art to the extreme.
The ceiling and floor in the exhibition hall of Erqi Tower have also been fully utilized, which has played a very good role in content expression and environment creation. Before the Beijing-Han railway strike, workers were eager for new ideas, and their long-suppressed emotions were vividly displayed in the preface hall of the exhibition. The whole sky with dark clouds is getting heavier and heavier under the tragic music. The exhibition hall of the preparatory branch of the Jinghan Railway Federation of Trade Unions is equipped with a purple-blue sky, full of stars, which gives people hope and makes people calm ... The changes around the Erqi Square in the Seventh Station Hall, the whole hall floor is designed as a circular time compass, similar to the clock at the top of the tower, and the time is consistent with the clock at the top of the tower. The surrounding plates are rotating in different times. When you set foot on the land of different times, you can dig out the old photos of Erqi Square in that era, and the effect is very shocking.

The exhibition design of the second steam tower exhibition hall comprehensively considers the visual feelings of the audience, and pays attention to the coordination, stability and primary and secondary relations of space shaping. Use flexible display techniques to establish the visual center of the exhibition hall space landscape. Using electronic equipment or sculpture to establish the visual center of space landscape will raise the visual center of the audience, enhance the sense of spatial hierarchy, and greatly increase the curiosity and interest of the audience in the exhibition. In the second exhibition hall of Jinghan Railway Workers' Strike Exhibition, the scene of "Puyuan Secret Meeting" was prepared for the inaugural meeting of the Federation of Trade Unions. The reproduction is vivid, the electronic screen is hidden behind the worn window of the park model, and the sound of the secret meeting attracts the audience to watch through the window. The design idea is very successful. At the same time, we have done a lot of detailed work by comprehensively considering the viewing and interaction distance of electronic equipment in each exhibition hall.
Fourth, actively participate in the construction of Chen Zhan and strictly control the construction quality.
The exhibition and promotion of Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Tower can be said to be a "face project", which is the external window of Zhengzhou city image. The Erqi Pagoda has attracted the attention of the whole city, the whole province and even the whole country with its special historical and political significance and effective geographical location. Therefore, leaders at all levels in Zhengzhou have also given special attention and concern. With the leadership and help of Zhengzhou Cultural Relics Bureau and the efforts of the staff of the whole museum, the quality of the project and the time limit announced to the public through the news media were ensured. It took only 88 days to complete the decoration and layout of Chen Zhan, which covers an area of about 4,000 square meters, and ensured the integrity of Chen Zhan. After its opening, it attracted a large number of tourists and was recognized by leaders at all levels, on-site tourists and the Internet. The media rushed to report.
In order to ensure the quality and progress of the project, we will meet the audience with a brand-new image when we reopen the museum. The leaders and staff of our Erqi Pavilion actively participated in the construction. The leader led several staff to the Erqi Tower, fully followed up the project and strictly controlled the quality. Take various effective measures to ensure the smooth and steady progress of the Erqi Tower project: First, the Capital Construction Department holds a regular construction meeting every week to report last week's work; Publicize the work plan for next week; Problems raised by the supervisor in the project; The owner (Erqi Pavilion) put forward requirements for the construction work. Second, the contractor is required to make the whole project plan, including the sub-plans of the construction progress of each project, and the supervisor and the contractor (Erqi Pavilion) jointly supervise the implementation. Third, the responsibility system should be implemented in all work, and the responsibility should go to people, and economic punishment measures should be formulated. However, during this period, we still encountered some unexpected situations and difficulties, which were solved in time with the efforts of all the staff on site.
After Zhengzhou Erqi Memorial Tower was opened to the public on July 1, the novel exhibition attracted a large number of visitors. Only one week after its opening, the number of visitors exceeded 30 thousand. In a narrow space with a building area of only 1923 square meters, the maximum number of visitors per day exceeded 6,000, setting a new record since the opening of Erqi Pavilion.
